Do I need an account to book?
No account, no application form, no credit check. Browse, pick your dates and pay. For certain equipment, a quick identity check is required at checkout. It takes under a minute and is a one-time step.
How does delivery work?
Delivery and collection are handled by your local hire partner. Transport costs are shown clearly at checkout before you pay, no surprises, no hidden fees. You'll see the full price before you commit.
What if I accidentally damage the equipment?
Hire Shield is included on every order at no extra cost. It covers accidental damage during normal use. It does not cover theft or misuse. If something goes wrong, report it within 48 hours and we handle the rest.
Is it available where I am?
Once your order is placed, we source it locally from thousands of depots across the UK. If nothing is available near you, your card is not charged. You only pay once we send your confirmation email.
Who actually owns the equipment?
We don't. National Tool Hire is a booking platform, not a hire depot. We're a marketplace, when you book, we source your equipment from the nearest available supplier in our network. One booking, one price, one point of contact: us.
