What is Hire Shield?
Hire Shield is a subrogation waiver, not an insurance product. Hired-in plant claims carry an excess of £1,700. Hire Shield covers the initial contribution toward that excess: £50 on Standard, £200 on Premium. You remain responsible for the rest of the excess and for any loss the waiver does not cover.

48-hour reporting

Hire Shield Premium is a subrogation waiver. It covers the first £200 of the £1,700 hired-in plant claim excess, so insurers cannot recover that initial contribution from you. You remain responsible for the rest of the excess.
