Mobile access platforms delivered to you
Safely conduct work at height with scaffold tower hire. We work with partners across the UK who can deliver and collect high-quality, safe, access towers to your work site or home for convenience.
Scaffold towers - or access towers - are robust, safe, easy to erect, and mobile. They are designed to provide a secure means of access to complete all kinds of different work at a height, including construction, installation, inspection, decorating, cleaning, and more.
All the scaffold towers that we hire through our partners are approved for use in the home by the public for DIY, and for trade use on industrial construction sites.
Scaffold towers come in prefabricated frame sections, which can be erected easily to provide a solid and spacious platform from which to work, with an all-round guard rail to protect from falls. They are available in a range of formats and sizes, making them ideal for all different work locations.
What type of scaffold tower do I need?
We have various types of scaffold towers and access platforms available, for whatever your needs including:
Stair scaffold access towers are simple to assemble and are designed to be used in stairways to provide a safe and secure means of accessing heights within stair wells.
Fibreglass scaffold towers are made from fibreglass, so are safe to use for electrical purposes where there is an explosive risk.
Work platforms are easy to assemble and ideal for work that requires a low-level of access.
How to measure for the right access tower rental
Working height - as it sounds, working height is where you will be working - where your hands comfortably need to be whilst doing the job at hand. If you are working on a roof for example, the working height should be where the roof is.
Tower height - this is the top of the access tower
Platform height - the platform height is where the standing platform will be on the access tower when erected

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to hire a scaffold tower?
The cost to hire a scaffold tower depends on the type you need, the size you need and how long you need it for. We keep our hire rates extremely competitive.
Can anyone use a scaffold tower?
Scaffold towers are available to hire by both DIY and trade customers.
Any DIY customers are allowed to hire, erect and use a scaffold tower. Though it is important that you feel confident enough to do so and are physically capable of erecting the tower by following the included instructions. Read our guidance on how to build a scaffold tower.
For our DIY customers, we recommend the MiTower, if the working height you need is 6m or under. MiTowers are slim, compact and designed to be easy to erect. They allow a platform height of up to 4m and offer a safe working height of 6m.
For trade and commercial customers, ff you are using any item of work at height equipment in the workplace, including a scaffold tower, either as an employee or as a self-employed person, the Work at Height Regulations apply to you. You must ensure that not only the person building the tower is competent but also those who specify, use and supervise or manage the use of a tower are competent to do so.
You can find out more about the Work at Height (2005) Regulations & advice on scaffold tower use on the PASMA website.
Are scaffold towers safe to use?
Yes, scaffold towers are safe pieces of equipment for working at a height. They provide a solid and stable platform to stand on, along with an all-round guardrail to protect from falls. They allow you complete use of your hands to get on with the job. They provide a much safer means of access than ladders and step ladders. Access to the work platform is gained using a ladder system integrated into the frame of the tower, to climb up through the inside of the tower and on to the platform through a trapdoor.
Safe use of a scaffold access tower or mobile access platform:
Never work on a platform without guardrails
Never use a tower in strong winds
Never climb up the outside of the tower - use the approved 3T (Through The Trapdoor) method of access.
Never stand on an unprotected platform when building or dismantling a tower.
Never over-reach or use other forms of access on top of a tower. If you can't reach, you need a bigger tower.
ALWAYS follow the manufacturer’s or supplier’s instruction manual.
Ensure that these manuals are available to the operatives erecting and using the tower, and to the person supervising the work.
