Bumpa hoist hire

Bumpa Hoist Hire — Roof Tile and Material Lifting on UK Scaffolds

The tracked material hoist for lifting roof tiles, blocks and bags up scaffolding, available in electric or petrol drive with 8m or 10m lift height provides a reliable solution for roofing projects, lifting tiles and slates to scaffold lifts, moving mortar and blocks to upper storeys, reducing manual carrying on housebuilding sites. Each unit features steel track sections with rubber-track drive unit, steel hopper or platform bucket, electric motor or petrol engine power pack designed for long-term reliability in British conditions, making this hire ideal for both commercial and residential applications throughout the United Kingdom.

Construction and Design

• Modular track sections bolt to standard British scaffold tube and fitting systems
• 8m and 10m configurations reach typical UK two-storey and loft conversion eaves
• Rubber tracks spread load on scaffold boards without piercing membranes
• Electric models suit urban sites with noise restrictions; petrol for off-grid plots
• Hopper design sized for concrete interlocking tiles and clay pantiles common in Britain
• Quick assembly from ground level by trained scaffolders

Safety Standards

• Must be installed and operated by competent persons familiar with manufacturer guidance
• Scaffold must be designed to accept hoist loads—consult scaffold design if unsure
• Never exceed hopper capacity; evenly distribute load before lift
• Barriers at ground loading zone to prevent access beneath moving hopper
• PUWER checks on drive unit, track engagement and emergency stop before each shift
