- Will scarifying damage my lawn?
- It looks dramatic straight afterwards, with thatch and moss pulled up in ridges, but this is normal and the lawn recovers within a few weeks, especially if you overseed straight after.
- How often should I scarify my lawn?
- Once a year, typically in early autumn, is enough for most UK lawns. Heavily mossed or shaded lawns may benefit from a lighter second pass in spring.
