Will you deliver my materials where I need them?
Deliveries made by heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) are completed to the kerbside only. We operate to strict health and safety standards, and in some circumstances this may affect our ability to deliver directly to your preferred location if it is considered unsafe for the vehicle or driver.
Please let us know in the delivery notes at checkout whether there are any access restrictions or potential hazards near the delivery address, such as overhead power lines, low bridges, narrow roads, or other obstacles that could impact an HGV delivery.
If we identify any issues that may prevent a safe delivery, we will contact you to discuss the situation and, where possible, arrange a suitable alternative delivery location.
Do I need treated timber for outdoor use?
Yes, we recommend using treated timber for any outdoor projects. This is particularly important when the timber would be in direct contact with the ground or rain. If you don’t use treated timber outside it can deteriorate much faster than if it was treated.
What is the difference between C16 and C24 timber?
Put simply, the difference between C16 and C24 timber is their quality. The higher the number, the higher the quality, meaning C24 timber is generally of a better standard than C16 timber and has a higher price tag to match. Both are popular for building projects.
