- How thick does steel need to be for a magnetic drill?
- Most magnetic drills need a minimum steel thickness (often around 6-10mm depending on the model) for the magnet to generate reliable holding force. Check with your depot if you are unsure about a specific section.
- Can a magnetic drill be used on a vertical or overhead surface?
- Yes, that is one of its main advantages over a standard pillar drill. Always fit the safety chain first in case of power loss or magnet failure.
