This is a single 20kg bag of Blue Circle Mortar. Small jobs often need only a few bags, so it's worth working out the number rather than guessing.
Assumptions: standard 215 x 102.5 x 65mm bricks and 440 x 215 x 100mm blocks with 10mm joints; about 60 bricks or 10 blocks per m² (9.88 rounded up) in a single skin wall. Published guidance from the Mineral Products Association (Mortar Data Sheet 1) puts mortar use at about 1 tonne per 1,000 bricks, or per 600 blocks of 440 x 215 x 100mm (450 x 225mm including joints).
