Scaffold Board Hire Tough & Durable Boards Scaffolding boards can be used with our adjustable steel trestles to provide a stable work platform for builders, plasterers, painters and more, to work safely at a height. There are 1.8m (6ft), 2.4m (8ft), 3m (10ft) and 3.9m (13ft) board lengths avilable. You can select the scaffold board size that you need using the drop down menu. The boards are made from pressure treated European Whitewood ensuring strength and reliability. They have a metal strip cap to protect the end grain. When you are using scaffold boards as work platforms, each board must be the same thickness and length for your safty. They also need to overhang by 50mm or more, but cannot overhang more than 150mm. The width of the platform must be at least 900mm with no gaps, and the boards must be secured together if theys are shorter than 3.9-metres.
