Light Duty SDS Rotary Hammer Drill Hire Versatile 110v Combi Drill These light-duty SDS hammer drills are versatile power tools, ideal for contractor work and DIY. They feature an operation mode change lever that allows you to choose between rotation only, rotation with hammering, and hammering only settings without rotating the chuck. These combi drills also have variable speed control by the trigger switch, forward and reverse rotation, 40 bit angle settings, and a depth stop. These SDS drills are compact and lightweight, with excellent ease of use. You can use them over longer periods without your arms becoming tired. They also have a torque limiter and ergonomically designed handles with a soft rubberised grip that fits your hand perfectly to provide maximum control and comfort. The side grip can be used as a brace to maintain safe control when drilling large holes or through hard materials. Slotted Drive System (SDS) Hammer Drills provide an effective way of drilling through tough concrete, brick and masonry when standard rotary drills do not have the capability. SDS drills can bore through these materials much more effectively than standard rotary drills or hammer drills. This is because regular hammer drills move the whole drill chuck to apply the hammer action. In contrast, an SDS drill has a more efficient means of applying the hammering action – through the use of special SDS drill bits, which move in a piston action inside the chuck, allowing the power to be directed more precisely and efficiently. The drill is fitted with an SDS+ chuck as standard. An optional 13mm three-jaw chuck adaptor is available during checkout, allowing this SDS drill to be used as a standard rotary drill using standard drill bits, with the hammer action turned off. This versatility means you can complete both small jobs that require a standard drill and more demanding jobs that require an SDS drill with this one machine. Whilst using this drill, ensure you are wearing appropriate protective equipment, including goggles, heavy-duty gloves, and ear defenders. Also, wear a dust mask to prevent damage to your health due to the inhalation of brick and masonry dust. Ensure that you take regular breaks from using the drill if you are using it for a long, sustained amount of time to prevent injuries relating to HAVS.
