Percussion drills are more capable than standard rotary drills. They provide a faster, more efficient and effective way of drilling into tough materials, such as masonry and steel. This is due to the fact that percussion drills have an internal mechanism with two geared disks which turn against each other and cause the chuck and bit to move forward and backwards in a hammering action as the drill rotates. This action is similar to that of a hammer drill. However, the difference between a percussion drill and a hammer drill is that percussion drills do not have a function that allows the hammering action to be used without the rotary action. This is due to the fact that, on a percussion drill, the hammering action is initiated by the rotation of the chuck. Whereas, with a hammer drill, the rotation function can be switched off and the drill can be used in hammer only mode. 

This 110v percussion drill features a standard 13mm chuck, 2 mechanical gears and variable speed control, which allows you to drill at a suitable speed for the material you are drilling into. These electric drills are ideal for use on site as well as at home. Weighing just 2.3kg, this drill is extremely portable and easy to use over longer periods without becoming tired. 

Please note: These drills are 110v pieces of equipment, so you will need a transformer and extension lead to use them with a domestic 240v electricity supply. We can supply 3kVA transformers and extension leads. You can add these accessories to your order during checkout.
