You can use them to make an indent in different types of pipe so that they can be joined together for repair or retrofit using couplings that create strong joints. The Ridgid 915 manual roll groover is portable, lightweight and features a sturdy, cast-in handle for convenient carrying and locking during storage and transit. Offering incredible ease of use in challenging environments, the 915 can be operated with just 3 ½” of clearance space for full handle rotation. You can mark concise grooves with just 2 ¾” of exposed pipe, and there is an easy to use depth setting gauge to ensure accuracy. The 90° bend in the ratchet that comes with the roll groover makes it easier for you to operate the mechanism and make grooves quicker and easier.
