32mm - 315mm HDPE Fusion Welder Hire Ideal for Low Pressure PE Pipe Work Systems This HDPE fusion welder completes electrofusion fittings suitable for low pressure PE pipe work systems from 32mm to 315mm diameter. It can weld fittings commonly made by Geberit, Wavin, Valsir, Polypipe and Akatherm which are used for siphonic rainwater and waste water applications, and more. This fusion welder is easy to use as it offers fully automatic operation and it applies automatic temperature compensation to the weld time. It also has different colour welding cables to quickly identify different fittings. This 110v unit uses the extreme heat and pressure produced during welding to make simple, reliable, rigid joints between pipes. The heat required to make the joint comes from flowing a constant electrical current through the embedded heater wires within the sleeve fitting, which is placed around the two pipes. The pressure required to make the joint is obtained via the shrinking of the fitting under welding conditions. The shrinking process does not alter the internal bore of the joint because the ends and the centre of the fitting are deliberately kept cold during the welding process. This ensures a strong, reliable professional joint. Once the joint is completed, the heater wires remain encased in the HDPE so there is no chance of corrosion. The connecting sleeve fitting must be fitted evenly between both pipes and the pipes must have clean cut, straight, burr-free edges to provide the most reliable, long-lasting joint. The welding output of this HDPE fusion welder is a controlled current of 5A or 10A and a controlled voltage of 220V. It has been designed to operate on a 110V supply and has been made in a small lightweight plastic case making it easy to carry and protecting it from harsh construction site conditions. It is suitable for use with portable generators.
