Preparing and maintaining floors properly

Restoring a hardwood or parquet floor is a progressive process, starting with a coarse grit on the drum sander to remove the old finish and level the boards, working through medium and fine grits, then finishing edges and corners with an edge sander that the drum cannot reach.

Warehouse and commercial floors benefit from routine scrubbing far more than occasional deep cleans, grit and debris ground into a hard floor over time accelerates wear on both the floor finish and on forklift or trolley wheels, so a regular scrubber dryer pass protects the floor as much as it cleans it.

Drying time after any wet floor cleaning process depends heavily on ventilation and ambient humidity, which is where an air mover or dryer earns its keep, particularly in enclosed commercial spaces where natural airflow is limited and a wet floor left too long becomes a slip hazard.
