These are the standard 2.3m pedestrian barriers used for queues, event lanes and keeping the public off a works area. Fixed legs, galvanised steel, hook-and-eye ends. You build a run as long as the job. We deliver a stack, you clip them together, we collect.

They are not Heras fencing and they are not a 1m barrier. Each panel is 2.3m long, 1.1m high and about 10.6kg.

How many barriers do I need?

Divide the length of the line by 2.3, then add a couple for corners and a spare.

• 10m line → 5 barriers
• 20m queue → 9 barriers
• 50m site edge → 22 barriers

Corners, gate openings and a walkthrough each need an extra panel. If you need a proper gated gap in the line, add the walkway variant rather than leaving a hole.

What they are for — and what they are not

• Use these for queue lines, marathon/race routes, exhibition aisles, school events, and separating pedestrians from a small works area.
• Use Heras when you need a secure compound people should not climb or push through.
• Use the walkway when the line needs an official opening rather than a gap.

Putting them up

No tools. Hook one end into the next. Fixed legs mean nothing to assemble or lose on site. One person can move a single panel; two people make a long run quicker. They stack for the van because the legs are offset.

How many crowd control barriers do I need?

Each barrier is 2.3m long. Divide the run in metres by 2.3, then add 1–2 extra for corners, overlaps and a spare. A 20m queue line is 9 barriers. A 50m site edge is 22.

Are these the same as Heras fencing?

No. Crowd barriers are 1.1m high and guide people. Heras panels are taller mesh and secure a compound. Use barriers for queues and walkways. Use Heras when you need to keep people out.

Do I need the walkway barrier as well?

Only if you need a gated opening in the line. The standard barrier is the 2.3m x 1.1m panel. The walkway is a taller gateway that sits in the same run.

Can one person put them up?

One person can carry and hook a single 10.6kg panel. A long run is faster with two people: one holds, one hooks. No tools. Fixed legs, so there are no loose feet to lose.

Is there a minimum hire period?

Yes. You are charged for 14 days. You can off-hire earlier and we will collect. The price does not drop if you send them back on day two.

Can I hire them for a weekend event?

Yes. Book the 14-day hire, use them for the weekend, request collection when you are done.

Do I need a trade account?

No. Pick the dates, pay online, we source from a local partner and collect when you are done.
