What Is a PL.4 Plinth Internal Return?
A plinth brick has a sloped face that steps the wall in, usually at the top of a thicker base course. A plinth internal return is the special shaped brick that carries that sloped face neatly round an internal (inward) corner, so the plinth line runs unbroken. This one is the PL.4 from Forterra's Cradley special brick range, in smooth blue and 65mm high.
Internal returns sit where two walls meet and the corner points into the building.
Left Hand or Right Hand?
Returns are handed, and you choose left or right hand on this page. The hand depends on which way the corner turns as you face the wall. If you're not sure, check your drawings or ask whoever is laying the bricks before you order, because a handed special can't be swapped once it's in the bond. A plinth that turns corners both ways along one run needs both hands.
