Yes. A self-propelled scissor lift is a mobile vertical MEWP and needs an IPAF PAL card with category 3a.
Should I hire an electric or a diesel scissor lift?
Electric scissors are for smooth indoor floors. Diesel rough-terrain scissors are for outdoor and unpaved ground. The fuel type is on each variant.
What is the difference between working height and platform height?
Working height is the reach to your hands, about 2 m above the platform floor. Platform height is the height of the deck. Use working height when you compare machines.
